Course DescriptionThis course provides detailed, hands-on guidance on how to implement an environmental management system (EMS) which focuses on your own business needs. The ISO 14001 standard is used on the course as a basis for developing an EMS that will be effective and add value to your business. Environmental Management Systems; Developing and Implementing at Defense Installations (24-hours) will cover the same basic highlights and learning objectives as the private-sector version, however specific attention will be made to the existing management systems employed by the DoD, as well as current DoD policy on the standard and its implementation.
