Developing and Implementing Environmental Management Systems [ISO 14000] (24-hours)

Course Description

This course provides detailed, hands-on guidance on how to implement an environmental management system (EMS) which focuses on your own business needs.  The ISO 14001 standard is used on the course as a basis for developing an EMS that will be effective and add value to your business.  The course is highly interactive, allowing participants to work on case studies and to consider the needs of their own business.

A version of this course has been designed specifically for the US Military.  Environmental Management Systems; Developing and Implementing at Defense Installations (24-hours)  will cover the same basic highlights and learning objectives as the private-sector version, however specific attention will be made to the existing management systems employed by the DoD, as well as current DoD policy on the standard and its implementation.
