Hazardous Material First Responder Operations Level Training (16-Hours)

Course Description

This course is designed to meet the 29 CFR 1910.120(q) "first responder operations level" training requirement.  The training includes all of the Awareness Level elements.  Responders at the Operations Level are individuals who respond to releases or potential releases of hazardous substances as part of the initial response to the site for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, property, or the environment from the effects of the release.   

Course Highlights

1. Basic Hazard and Risk Assessment Techniques;

2. Selection and use of PPE;

3. Basic control, containment, and confinement operations;

4. Implementation of Basic Decontamination Procedures; and

5. Relevant SOP's.
