Hazardous Materials Specialist; Emergency Response to Incidents Involving Weapons of Mass Destruction

This twenty-four hour course is intended for those seeking the Level IV HazMat Specialist competency, and as a stand alone training for those personnel who desire technical information on the appropriate response to incidents suspected of involving chemical or biological warfare agents.   Each student will receive classroom instruction, as well as hands-on training in the following:

Who Should Attend:  

Level IV HazMat Specialists are individuals who respond with and provide support to hazardous materials technicians.  Their duties parallel those of the hazardous materials technician, however their duties require a more directed or specific knowledge of the various substances they may be called upon to contain.  Note: Those personnel seeking certification by their employers to the HazMat Specialist Level must first satisfy the initial training requirements at the HazMat Technician (Level III) competency.
